Great News! The recent Fundraising event (shown below) managed to raise £1700 for dentistry in the Everest region! Thank you to everyone who supported Julian's initiative in aid of the The Khumbu Childhood Dental Project (full details below)
Hello everyone,
Attached below is the invitation to the Auction Night in
Support of the Khumbu Childhood Dental Project. We ran an auction like this in
New Plymouth and it was an extremely successful and fun night. This one in
London will be the same and further will serve as a reunion to many people.
I encourage all of you who can attend to do so.
The response so far has been good and it looks as though
there will be some interesting and desirable items to bid for.
Many of you will not be able to attend for many reasons not
the least being geographical. However you may have friends or family here in
London who could come along. It is also worthwhile that you know what is
happening as many of you have shown an interest in the project.

(Team up if you want to.) - Buffet Meal and short presentation on Everest and the Khumbu Childhood Dental Project - An entertaining and fun auction of the items including special sponsored items This will be a fun, social, informative and very worthwhile evening. Meal: £12.50 on entry (inc vegetarian option) Drinks: Cash bar RSVP: by Tuesday 26 October to Julian: julian@haszard.co.nz 02089956712hm 07843581007mob The Khumbu Childhood Dental Project; is a project aimed at reducing the very high levels of decay in the Sherpa Children of the Khumbu Valley. The Khumbu valley is the gateway to Everest where Sir Edmund Hillary has spent a large part of his life’s effort in helping the plight of the Sherpa people. Unfortunately a huge change in diet, in particular a massive rise in refined sugar intake is resulting in devastating levels of decay especially in young children. The project aims to support a young Sherpa dentist in his effort reduce these levels of decay. Education and a strong preventative approach is the focus.
